A short poem for anxiety

Updated: Oct 12, 2022

Some time ago did I embark with dream to tame the sea.

Washed ashore and lost before, the waves were all I see.

With noble aim and foolish deed I sought and vowed to grow.

Against the tides and storms at sea, relentless was my row.

Once more the sea has thrown me back, heave ho to no avail.

His voice I hear “leave oar behind” and “learn I must to sail”.

Again this day shall I embark with dream to tame the sea.

This time I ride the winds that He may tame the sea in me.
